It is also possible to be happy with the job, the people, the balance sheet, etc…..yet demand that the most productive pilot group be compensated accordingly. You should consider trying that.
Hank, Jody and Casey told me to my face at the Denver road show that TA2 was the best we could do when I asked why they fell short of the platform. I believed them.
The market in 2022 is vastly different than 2016. Hell, they’re paying us premium just to show up and work our original line.
I spent 8 years fighting a corrupt management for a new CBa as a Regional pilot who never grossed more than $100k a year. I’ve no problem voting no to anything that doesn’t meet or exceed what the market says we are worth. I’ll picket if necessary. I’ll strike if allowed by the RLA (won’t ever happen but I’m ready.).
I’ve got 25 more years here if I choose and want this place to succeed. There’s nowhere else I’d rather work. I’ve flown with many angry, bitter people who I’d rather see leave if they’re not happy. I’ve got friends at AA….I don’t want our pilot group turning into that.
