Anybody else noticed this guy? Seems to work OGG approach but yesterday he was handling HCF high sector. Usually I find his antagonism entertaining but he was extra ****y/borderline hostile the last two days… “4th time I’m calling you Alaska” 😂

Just curious what you’ve seen!

It’s crazy because the overwhelming majority of HCF controllers are great and super professional. Unfortunately, he seems to be always stressed when he is working and makes it hard for everyone in the frequency. I’m sometimes tempted to tell his read back is correct… 😬😂

You should. I get incensed by grumpy and temperamental controllers. Who works for who? Is it my salary that pays their salary or their salary that pays mine?

Don’t get me wrong. I’m professional and appreciative of controllers but especially because of that, I get “touchy” when they turn into asshats.

It’s the same thing as getting attitude from a server at a restaurant when you’ve been nothing but nice to them.

Yes I've noticed him on the HCF side of things. One of these kids is doing is own thing, one of them is not the same!

He should probably request a transfer to ORD, you know with Qatar and all.

If he mouths off, ask him to mark the tape and give you a phone number for his supervisor. I've done this more than once before in another environment and it can be surprisingly effective both short and long term.

Maybe it is just the personality. How about cutting ATC a break , everyone can have a bad day . Put your time and Energy towards your employer,who is shorting the pilot group millions a year in incorrect pay.
