Or was trolling TTGA looking for stuff like that and snagged it when it went red hoping he'd get to stay home with pay. Gusty move....everytime I've tried that I've gotten burned bad.

Now for the Grinch story…

Since I commute, I put my first two legs of this trip in giveaway. If they went, I would commute to Denver instead and get an extra night at home. No takers so I went to the airport and boarded a flight to my domicile.

I committed the cardinal sin and forgot to delete the giveaway request before commuting. When I landed, the first text I got was those first two legs being cancelled.
I pulled up my board and they were gone. I immediately realized what I had done. (Face palm!)

Found the guy who took them and sent him a text to see if he would be willing to restore them because commuting to DEN in the morning now is going to be pretty tough.
But, at the end of the day it was my fault for forgetting. I learned a rookie commuter lesson.
Zap and Tranquility (and the guy that gave Zap the trips back) - ^^^^ this is why LUV is still alive at Southwest. Herb would be proud. It is not the leadership, management, or certainly the pay/work rules — it is the people (with our Captains setting the bar). I have been an FO for almost six years and I firmly believe our Captains are the best in the business.

You guys make me proud to work here. My day in the left seat will come. When it does, I will follow your lead. Y’all are class acts!

Our management needs to read more stories like this! They need to understand who's out on the line busting their ass to make things happen when there's a meltdown and we are getting zero support from the top that failed us. Instead they are warm and cozy at home and going to holiday parties while the frontline workers are embracing the suck with good attitudes.

People like zap are what makes this company great to work for, not the middle and upper management who have fallen out of touch with us on the frontlines.

I agree. People like Zap are what makes it a good place to work.

management counts on it as a cost free (to them) benefit to them
