. Good info and much harder to fix if backbone of the company is broke.

If this happens the upgrade at Southwest will go to 20 years.

Its just math.

not necessary. SWA was upgrading 6 year FOs when USAir had 15+ year pilots on the street

This might be a dumb question, but a genuine one. I'm at an AA WO regional. I have a class date scheduled with SWA and no interview invites at any of the legacies. I commute and will commute no matter what for the next ~2 years. I feel like I would be stupid to stay at a regional especially with no other job prospects. Should I still go to SWA or ride out the regional life until a legacy calls?

A legacy may never call. Go with SWA and use it as a jumping off point if you so decide.

Stuck out for 5 days in this mess. Blocked 6 hours….

I would simply add you need to be real, real careful of FAR 117 when stuff gets to spiraling out of control.

Rest needs to be rest.
Rest needs to be prospective.
They need to have a plan…”just hang out in case we have something for you” is a trap for the unwary.

Why stuck? I found my own way home long before they had a solution for me. I wasn't going to miss the holiday with my family if there was anything I could do about it...

Rumor has it Gojet is going to buy WN when all of this is said and done. The 73’s will be transferred to United. All in an attempt to secure terminal C at Denver.

Did a turn, followed by a 3 day, then a single JA day that returned me to base via a DH. I guess “stuck” wasn’t the appropriate word since I was scheduled to arrive home at 0015 Local time on the 27th. Just got back 10 hours later…

nobody advocated for that. I simply said that this is the inevitable result. I didn’t become a proponent of anything else.
