well, no. I have been on the call list for first available for 4 weeks now and am still going to my scheduled class. Maybe just unlucky or maybe they called someone else first. But almost 100 is just false.

soo... Yes you should do it then? Assuming you live in some base for one of the "big 4" (and I use that term very loosly these days), then coming to swa will either be a leg up or will get you an interview with the real major(s) at your domicile of choice.

If swa or the big 3 aren't in the city that you currently live or want to live, interview at a major that is.

If you live in a city with no major airline presence or you are unwilling to move, use swa to get an interview at the big 3 airline with the easiest commute. Probably delta.

I made that exact move seven years ago, and don't regret it for a single second.
