The medical remibursment amount is healthy and might lead the industry, but increased NEC, MBCBP, paid parking, pay protection for fatigue calls etc. all seem to be brought up to industry standards. Nothing really earth shattering there.

Its $4 and change higher...not $10

That was exactly my point. Maybe my sarcasm didn't come through.

Scabs WON'T be a factor in this environment. There might be a few willing to live the rest of their lives on the scab list and all that goes along with it to work for a few hours at SWA as a scab, but there won't be enough to sustain the airline. Therefore, the company is mostly defenseless in this pilot market.

Doesnt even matter. This TA will pass

everyone i have talked to likes this TA for the most part. It's going to pass 80-90%, there are the same 5 guys "nothing will every be good enough" posting in all the same places.

Once mediation begins, the NMB-appointed mediator controls when and where negotiation sessions will occur.

Show me in the RLA where it's written that direct negotiations are prohibited when mediation begins. I'll wait.

The mediator controls MEDIATED sessions. There is NOTHING that prohibits Casey and Jody from getting together with Bobby J and AW over some hot wings and quesadillas at the DoubleTree and hammering out a deal, at ANY time.

Pulled the # off the wrong page. It's roughly $4 for CA, $10 for FO. Either way, not enough to stop someone from leaving.

TA will probably pass 70% though if the big 3 pilot group votes are any indication.

if someone wants to leave to fly WB, so be it. Its a free labor market. Pilots come to SW knowing there isnt widebody to begin with. SWA isnt going to offer rates GROSSLY above market avg just so some "might stay". Can we put this talking point to bed please?

SWA has wide body flying opportunities. In fact, we’re their favorite airline now that we give them an extra free seat(s) when requested.

The most earth shattering thing is that we've finally achieved, more or less, an industry average TA!

Agreed. I don’t see anything “shocking” or “insane money” or “regret for those that left”. Just moving up to average. However, that definitely makes this a very different airline to work for now. It took “once in a lifetime leverage” to get to this average. To be fair, serious “gains” were required to get to where we’re at now.
