This seems like a better target than b9 or nk and only 400 pilots to shuffle into the mix. Seems like a soft target that fits everyones wants. Tin Foil hat off |

I turned Delta down for SWA. I’m sure I’m not the only one. I used to struggle with and downright regret that decision. A lot! Then, I got stuck between bases and had to commute for a while. Many times, it was on a Delta jumpseat. That experience was really great for me because I never regretted my decision again. It wasn’t a nightmare experience or anything and I appreciated the rides but it was nothing like a SWA flight deck. I’m so happy that I made the choice that I did. Recently, standards evaporated and a multitude of non-competitive, previously unwanted, JV types entered into places while the gates were wide open. Since standards were historically quite competitive, this group thinks they’ve done something amazing. Now, for all the same reasons these guys were never hired in the competitive days, this group is inclined to be a certain class of self-absorbed, mental cases that think far too much of themselves. Far exceeding the renowned stuckupism of the Delta pilot group. The Delta cappies know this and hated to see what happened to their group. Since these new cats can’t possibly fool the long time Delta folks, they’re hanging out on other airline forums trying to hoodwink us that they’re special. Yep, they’re special alright!

Rumors of Neelman having meetings and hanging w Southwest CEO were a thing at breeze several months ago…he has had great relations with SW since morris. they’d have roughly 30 planes for immediate use, 2 simulators, 2 FTD’s, a new plane every month, and the Egypt air planes. It has to be breeze. An immediate solution on the smaller scale! Easy integration with less than 500 pilots at a new company with majority less than 2 years seniority, staple those pilots in the list and it wouldn’t hurt anyone. Who else can they buy to get A220’s on deck? JetBlue? Yeah right..spirit to get their order book converted to 220’s and wait back of the line and get one plane a month? Or breeze and get roughly 30 planes off the bat..Southwest has no demand for neo’s, they have such a low load factor and what they need is an airplane suited for lower load factor markets..ex a220…they don’t have as many problems as the neo’s gtf’s and have been making drastic improvements on quality over the years.
breeze markets are making money, the charter demand they get is great, point to point markets no one serves. Southwest is losing load factor and money competing with legacies..Just a thought but I think it’s going to be good ol moxy..no wonder the union here has been working so hard for integration merger protections, and constant questions on the RSU’s impact on integration somewhere. |

Why? They can't push enough of those planes out to make a difference. Besides, we'd just repaint these planes to send to Delta while keeping their pilots....
