that would be a much better assumption than CFIT. There ain't any there.

If they were trying to line up on OKC RWY 13, it might have been CFIT because there is no RWY 13 at KRCE. Or maybe they were just circling to land at night on one of the south rwys at the municipal field.

Oh well, ASAP should work, and you guys now know what the scenario will be for LOFT next year.

Do they consult with DAL pilots after each flight before filing their report?

I doubt SW insurance policy allows low circles at night or in IMC conditions.

that is actually funny!
APC isn't noted for humor.

Looks to me like they lined up with I40 or OK4 thinking it was runway 13 on a visual backed up with the RNAV. Anyone who's spent much time out there knows what I mean. If you're tired and it's late at night it's plausible to make that mistake.

why even back up the visual approach with the RNAV if you don't look at the ND one solitary time (either pilot)? VTK and lateral deviations would have been full scale deflected. Must have been autopilot off and PM out to lunch window lickin.

Zero spun in the altitude selector and in VS or LVL CHG? Either way not a good look. Looks like they were set up for 13 then recovered and decided on 17R.
