Swapa investigation - what a clown factory

Waste a bunch of time and money on a ridiculous investigation after making a bunch of baseless accusations? Great idea. Good job clowns.

When this stupid thing started, the first thing I said was take the management (hiring/firing) of staff away from the president position. problem solved. And that was apparently the solution after spending how much money on it? embarrassing.

They should have hired you as an outside counsel at captain rates. Prob would have saved a bundle.

Agree this whole thing was embarrassing and someone should step up and admit they were wrong and fall on their sword. What a waste of time and money.

Sadly, in situations like these when two parties lawyer up, the lawyers are often the biggest winners.

Glad our $12M grant is being put to good use. This doesn't really give me a warm fuzzy going forward. Hopefully this can end the (public) drama.

If only. But I don't expect that to happen. We're turning into the teamsters here.

So we should change the rules anytime someone decides to pork the help? Listen, I voted for Jody... but management 101 is to not dip your pen in the company ink. If you don't realize that, you have no business being a manager and you certainly are not a leader. Jody also flat out lied to membership when he sent out that email blast stating he had no idea what he was under investigation for... what crap. SWAPA also handled it poorly. Just an ugly episode all around. Dues money wasted.

I have no confidence in Jody's common sense as he enters this job. He should have never pursued it and continued with his relationship.

He was in a relationship with her for years and well known before he ran for president. Everyone acting like it was something hidden and came out of nowhere. Maybe ask your VP of the union why we had to get outside counsel?
