I don't think starting 3 threads on APC is going to net you anything. MCO famously doesn't really have pilot crash pads, mainly because they aren't really needed and are impractical based on the local scene. Just go with hotels, you will save money, gain you time, and be a lot less stress.

If you are still stuck on a crashpad, your best bet is to post on the SWAPA forum (if you don't have access yet, you will get it on day one or two of training) or call the crew base coordinators who know about such things. They also usually post them on the swalife crew base coordinator corner along with other things like parking scenarios, etc.

A long long time ago, I was in a mixed FA/Pilot crashpad in HOU. It was all dudes, thankfully, but had one bathroom. The FAs in that crashpad were super inconsiderate with noise and phone conversations, hogged the bathroom, set multiple alarms, and were messy as heck. All that and they often worked 20 plus days a month and just slept there on their days off. I lasted about 3 months and switched to an all pilot joint. Night and day difference. I won't ever do a shared living situation again, but my advice if you have to do one is all pilots.

With SWA, you will fly so much on reserve, the commuter friendly hotels just make too much sense.

This was also my experience on reserve with SWA. Pro tip, if you get stuck commuting to reserve, consider trying to bid to PHX in the winter then trade or give away your reserve blocks to senior PHX pilots who live there and want to get paid for zero block time. It seems like the PHX pilots are super aggressive about that kind of thing, good for them and good for anyone trying to give away PHX trips or reserve blocks in the seasonal reduced flying winter months. I zeroed out my schedule by accident one February by putting my weekend AM reserves into TTGA and then not paying attention to it. 2 days later my board was completely clear and there was darn near nothing left in giveaway. I think I managed to pick back up about 60 TFP worth of scraps that month, lesson learned.

So you're telling me you've never had a crash pad with FA's.

I think that's what he's telling you.

Great fun when PD kicks in the door because one of the girls expressed self-harm ideations on FB because her BG dumped her. By "kicked in" I mean "off the hinges".

The Crashpad next to ours was entered by a young local entrepreneur. He used an axe to get through the front door. Ironically, the door was unlocked.

After the event, we contemplated the repercussions if he had opted to enter our crashpad. The FAM that shared our crashpad sniggered..
