They moved all these threads to their own section, and pretty much killed all the fun. Maybe nobody can find them anymore.

I think both sides have learned that leaks and rumors do nothing to forward the process. Don't get all spun up about something that may or may not be the solid truth. I believe you will see a simultaneous release of any proposed deal and an identical time frame on both sides for education and a vote. But, that is only my opinion since everyone is extremely tight lipped about it currently other than to say negotiations are ongoing.

Southwest did just put out a news bulletin. Its interesting that for all the bluster about selling off Airtran they just announced the only increases in flying the next two years will be Airtrans international operations. Domestic flying is going to be cut.

Which seems to jive with the entire reason SWA purchased AT to begin with, they had reached a point of domestic saturation.

Word is they have a deal and that the respective NC/MCs are hammering out the langauge. Deal was NOT brokered by SWAPA, but SWA management.

Slight numerical shift (~300) in favor of the AT guys. Some of the C&Rs changed/eliminated. They're working on the implemetation langauge, which as anyone knows, is a sticky wicket with a lot of potential loopholes.

Deal still subject to ALPA/SWAPA MEC approval and subsequent membership ratification. You probably won't hear any more about it until that point.

That is all...
