None of those are international nor ETOPS. ETOPS is a money hole for WN as the only thing that they are capable of doing is Hawaii, and there is no movement in that direction. Nothing in Central America, Caribbean, or South America requires ETOPS.

The only international WN does is mgmt pilots down to SAL for heavy checks. They apparently stay at our hotel but somehow havent discovered the free beer in the concierge room.

When's the last time you had to go through customs going in and out of PR or STT? I'm going to let you think about that one for a bit...

(hint- they are US territories. Not international)

I think the US Virgin Islands do require a customs check. At least last time I was in St Croix I went through a customs and immigration check.

I was trying to recall whether or not I cleared some form of customs at STT... I don't remember having to, but it has been a few years. I know for sure we don't at SJU.

My cell phone works in STT, so it's definitely the US still, haha.

No kidding.

No one seems to be referring to "Intl" or "ETOPS" in this thread but you.

You were a bit unclear in your post responding to Boogie, were you saying they had not done their first international flight? People that I know that work at WN keep calling SJU international, so I assumed you were saying so. My apologies if I put words in your mouth.

Now, this is funny . . . . But if so, I'm sure there would have been a press release about it, breathlessly announcing another "first", even though AirTran had weekly Havana flights ten years ago.
