Default Randy Babbit propaganda at SWA

Wow! Is this endorsed at all by our SWA brethren?

SWATogether

From my sources at SWA, the "LUV" is gone in 2014. Babbitt has shown his 'love', if I can add that... At ALPA first, then as an independent consultant, then leading the FAA, and now as an employee (at SWA). Apparently the only common thing these three disparate entities shared for Mr. Babbitt was the pay-

My advice to SWA pilots? Follow your union leadership.

All the Union heads sent a nice letter to GK. I hope he wakes up before it's too late. I dont know where the "too late" line is, but it sure feels like we are moving toward it.

Yup....

Without the usual amount of a$$ kissing it, MR must've had a gun to his head to sign something as pro employee as that combined letter!

It's textbook management tactics.

Claim your costs are already too high.

Use public tactics to undermine the union/Negotiating Committee.

Have other employee groups sign on to cooperation so if the one group doesn't concede to management's offer they can enlist social pressure from the other employee groups.

Yay!! SWA is finally acting like a big, old, traditional airline!

Lather, rinse, repeat.

With all the Kool-Aid that has been served up over the years SWA employees will probably be easy pickings for the "traditional airline' whip saw negotiating tactics. It had to happen sooner or later.

Yes, he's joking.

He's also pointing out that your Tranny brothers lived with this pressure on a daily basis for 5 years while they negotiated.

Next step is 'taking hostages'.

Taking hostages would be a huge departure from SWA SOP. I suppose anything is possible but in no way do I think we are anywhere near that at this point. Many (not just pilots) are becoming disillusioned by managements stance with all labor groups currently in section 6 but drastic moves like that would solidify labors resolve on all fronts.
