Interviewed with FEDEX last week and got the job. Thought about pushing class back to the first of the year to see what happens with the contract. Well, if San Antonio is any indication, Im taking the first available class. I really thought I'd be at SWA for life. Sad really.

the VP of SWA scheduling said if pilots don't like it here, they can leave.

I have to ask, I'm not on your (SWA) level by any means but is life really that bad? Last time I checked you SW pilots don't have it too bad.

I don't live in poverty in a third world country and neither do you. Is that what your asking?

This is why airline contracts drag out 4 years past the amendable date. Some pilots have no self worth when they manage 1.5 billion in liabilities per flight. Some pilots sleep in the crew room and some will fly all day without food. Some think it's ok to fly 400 hours more a year than their peers for the same money.
