I'm sorry, Oscar. Did you say something?

Do you guys know each other in real life?

I could be "misremembering", but I think we were told in class this summer that it was 18 expandable to 28

Shotgun weddings don't always result in true love. Let's not forget who held the sawed-off.

The problem is he has all this bravado here on an anonymous forum. I seriously doubt he speaks smack in the cockpit. Cowards mostly hide and are reluctant to reveal themselves. Demonizing others is so easy isn't it WM?

OBTW, I know who he is. He should know who I am (it ain't that hard to figure out). The problem is every pilot thinks they are the smartest person in the room. Arrogance leads some to think what they say matters. Some continue to talk even when it is obvious their bias and butt-hurt opinion is worthless. The mirror reveals things. You just have to be able to see. FWIW.

Oh great WM. I believe you mentioned in the past that I was on your ignore list. Please feel free to put me there again. In my mind that would be like putting me on your Bid avoidance list. Consider yourself asked. Also consider getting some professional help. Your constant whining and complaining about military guys/gals (especially fighter folks) again reveals a psyche that yearns for answers. In the mean time I am done with you. Oh I will continue to observe things on APC, but you are erased for the moment until you step in it again. Or are you listening?

Grouch,

Oh, you speak the truth my friend! Been in the airline industry for 30+ years and Whack thinks he's the only person to be affected by mergers, BKs, acquisitions, etc. He clearly is one naive, disgruntled pilot. Can I have my 25+ years of seniority at SWA from my previous carriers? NO! And don't expect it!!! Welcome, Whack, to the real world of airline business!! Wake up and smell the coffee!! My 2 years at SWA have enlightened me to SWA and the FATs; most are good guys but some just can't deal with the fact that every airline does it differently. Do I agree with all things SWA? NO! But what I know is standardization is king and that is what counts!!

Grouch,

Funny Whack isn't mentioning the fact that he has had multiple large pay raises since being bought. If this contract goes though he is about to get another large pay raise allowing him to make a lot more than when he was a junior airtran captian as an FO at Southwest and then he will get another large raise when he upgrades again here at Southwest. What exactly did the SW pilot get from the Merger? Stock options? No. Pay raise? No. Extra airplanes? No (lost a bunch and had to keep the 300 dogs around longer). Really young pilots that every year their relative seniority increases because of all the older SW pilots retiring? YUP!

By the time I retire at SW I will have lost over 50% of my relative seniority to younger pilots that were put ahead of me and I didn't get a single dime from it.

Enjoy the massive pay raises and profit sharing that 80% of your pilots got right away and 99.9% will receive by coming to SW. I got nothing but a few disgruntled pilots that have no idea how the airlines work and truly believe that even though they had been at junior stepping stone airline for 7 years they should have been put ahead of people that have been at SW for over 15 years even though relative seniority has never happened in airlines with such a large disparity in contracts.

Just look at the flight attendants and mechanics that went to arbitration over their seniority. The pilot from airtran got better seniority than what the ARBITRATOR gave the flight attendants or mechanics because airtran offered no improvements while Southwest had much better contracts to offer.

Oscar,
For my own sanity can you please PM me Whack's employee #. I've never had ANYONE on my avoidance bid list but if I get his employee # I promise he will be the first on it. Even though from what I understand he hasn't upgraded. I have seen his comments on APC for the last couple years. Unbelievable is all I've got to say on his incessant whining, twisting the FACTS, refusing to acknowledge his HUGE pay raise, HUGE increase in career stability, etc, etc. Please pass along so I can pre-emptively put him on my avoidance bid -- don't want to spend a long 3 day flying with someone with his mindset. Thanks.

AirTran used VNAV though. Don't forget that.
