Default Cheap/discounted BWI parking options?

I have to drive to BWI and park my car there for 4 days. I was trying to figure out the most economical place to park. So far, it looks like the Long Term lot is cheapest at $8.00/day. I called The Parking Spot since we supposedly get a discount there and they quoted me a "discounted" rate of $9.55/day for SWA peeps...a lot higher than the $7.95 (+ tax) coupon rate on their website! Does anyone know of some cheaper options? Thanks!

You're sweating paying $32 for parking for 4 days? I thought I was cheap.

I don't have a problem paying $32. I was simply wondering what my options were. Cut the new guy some slack!

In that case, go to the coordinators page at SWALIFE->Flight Ops and choose your domicile. They generally have parking and commuter info. If that doesn't work, call the BWI flight ops base coordinators. I don't have the number handy or I would PM it to you. They will have the most up to date info handy. I know many of the commuter hotels have some sort of parking agreement.
I thought you were just on personal travel and were being a cheapskate. My mistake!

From their website (because I am a giver):
Southwest Airlines Pilots have parking privileges at the employee parking lot located on Elkridge Landing Road off the Airport Loop Road (MD Route 170). To park on this lot, please stop by the BWI Pilot Base and pick-up a hang tag and proximity card. Beginning September 1, 2015, the cost is $32 per month and will be payroll deducted. Please be sure to display your employee parking hang tag while you are parked on this lot. Please note, this parking area is patrolled by Maryland Transportation Police and they issue citations to any car not displaying a current hang tag. The hang tag expires every August 31 at midnight

I appreciate the info e6bpilot! I was just coming back to report that I had looked on the base info page on SWALife and saw the info you were nice enough to post. It looks like the long-term lot is the best bet. I'll wait until I get based there to get a hang tag. Thank you!

If you are commuting in/out of BWI, I would talk to one of the base coordinators about getting an employee parking pass. Cost is deducted directly from your pay - $32/mon.

I wonder if the Air Force guys were charged to park "on base" and that's why it is done that way here?

(Just for you Whack!)
