I personally would find it helpful to receive well thought out reasons for why Spirit should have its own subforum. I am confident most of you can craft something intelligent and meaningful. If you can't, however, just don't post or you will be forced to say goodbye not just to a subforum, but to all your dearly beloved friends on APC.

Hmmm, I just noticed something - I have flown as a passenger on all the airlines that have their own subforums. I have never flown Spirit. Does Spirit serve SEA? Where all does it go? Big bonus points if I can take it to CRP [hint].

Ok, I'll go see about cleaning up your spam, spam, spam and eggs. :)

I'll play

We just took our 95th Airbus delivery, on our way to a current fleet plan of 160. That will make us larger than Alaska, and about 3 times larger than Hawaiian. We fly all over the Western Hemisphere, from Lima to Seattle and everywhere in between. For 2015 Spirit was the 4th most profitable airline in the world based on margins. Spirit was the launch customer in North America for the A320 NEO, we put more passengers on our A321 than American puts on there 767's. While our customer experience sucks and our on-time performance metrics are lagging, our business model has caused the 3 largest airlines in the world to alter how they are doing business.

AAs 787 also carry less. 226. Maybe we should ask for 75/76/78 rates?

Mod Note:

I was disappointed that Chimpy could not participate, but I decided to exercise my Admin mojo and created a subforum.

Ok, so I moved what Spirit threads I could find.

Please do not ruin this by posting profanity, engage in flamebait or troll or any number of offensive forum behaviors.

My Rationale

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but here is my rationale.

Spirit, Frontier, and Allegiant comprise the bulk of the active airline threads in the Majors overall folder. (Not counting all the 'what are we going to do with NAI' threads.) They each are larger than at least one of the airlines that already has a sub folder.

Therefore, it makes sense to me to establish a sub folder for each of them.

Just like a filing cabinet drawer, put the bulk of the items in sub folders. Let the remainder 'one here and one there' remain as miscellaneous.

My two cents. Thanks for asking.

Uh, don't push your luck, buddy! ;)

The Frontier and Allegiant dudes will have to make their own case, if they so choose.

Sorry! Was getting the kids to bed, lol. Thanks for the Subforum, hopefully a TA to follow, lol

So whining and temper tantrums work!

How long 'til Chimpy complains about being relegated to some dark corner of APC? Can you believe it? They kicked us off center stage.

For being a "moderator" I feel like if anything that response was the example of "childish behavior" (not a spirit guy)

Agree 100%. Why do I care if Allegiant and Frontier have their own sub folder?

And why would Mods want to block them from having their own conversations related to their own pilot groups in their own sub Forum?

I only go to the main area to read the TOLD thread. The fact these guys don't have their own areas is tool-ish. Seriously--it's no sweat off anyone's backs...

My two cents. Thanks for asking. :)
