We do the strike vote at the most opportune/appropriate time. I support my NC.

I support my nc too, but it's time to send the signal of a strike vote, especially to the BOD and investors. I don't see any advantage to waiting. Hawaiian did there vote a long time and they have a contract now.

Another option would be a vote of no confidence and a press release. We could say we are concerned about attracting pilots due to no contract. There also may be insufficient staffing levels and cancellations due to unattractive compensation compared to our peers. I seem to remember AA doing something like that years ago.

We need to bring this to investor's attention!

I totally agree with this. Strike vote now with a vote of no confidence is a strong message to send to the bod and the traveling public. Do this and then put it on billboards at our busiest destinations. Also a wall street journal ad would be great to show that we are very serious and willing to do whatever it takes!!!

The investors know, the BOD knows, the the guy who vacuumes the hallways at HQ knows. Doing a strike vote when negotiations are still taking place makes us look emotional...........which we are. Patience

Investors absolutely do not know. They think the company is going to get a cost neutral contract and we will be happy to ratify it.

Because upgrade time is short and that's the only thing that matters /s

Has it occurred to anyone the company just may want us to strike? We've proven we'll walk before. We also proved we would take the first subpar offer the union strong armed us into voting for. I'm not sure it would happen again. This is a very different group from 2010, but it may still be what management is counting on.

I am sure! This is a very different group than 2010 but I think everyone knows how far behind we are, when compared to everyone else. Bob says cost neutral or reduced cost contract. That's progress? I don't think so. Strike vote now!

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. "The company wants us to strike"?

What? Really?

Well I can tell you one thing- you sure as heck don't go back to work without a vote.
