Default Spirit pilot preferential path to majors

A recruiter at a Job fair recently told me that you will start seeing more Pilots being interviewed/hired from Spirit in the next few months to the majors. One way to beat your competitors is to capitalize on the carnage, seems logical.

Anyone here get a call recently?

Lol, someone got you all pumped up. Spirit is not a major competition for the big 3. Maybe the other ulcc out there.

Well the preferential hiring thing may or may not be true, but spirit is absolutely competitive with the big 3, albeit on a small scale. Why do you think they are selling their own "bare fare". Also, frontier, allegiant, and spirit hardly overlap at all. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way.

I always have to wonder about this attitude. Lol... And American was very aggressive in DFW to an airline that you think they didn't see as a threat. Yes?

Let me ask you, who has conformed to whoms model? Who has changed their pricing structures? Even if it is a small percentage, the spirits/frontiers/virgins/jetblues of the world have had an impact, for better or worse.

Cheers

Let's say I was Jyri and wanted prospective pilot candidates to get excited about Spirit. Maybe decide that they'll hold their nose and apply here, seeing it as a path to the legacies. I might create or have someone else create a new username and float a completely stupid, baseless rumor on APC, knowing that pilots will read it.

The numbers don't support this nonsense, as the regionals supply many more guys in a month to the legacies, than Spirit does in a year. Go away Troll and get a life! Anyone that seriously thinks the legacies care about an A320 type/experience from Spirit is delusional!

Not bad for a second post "anonymous".

As an innocent bystander looking in, this subforum is the gift that keeps on giving for entertainment. Your management must REALLY think you guys are stupid with all of this creative trolling they and their lawyers are doing.

There must be some serious cash flooding into a judge's offshore account for him to admit this nonsense as evidence of a work action. Anyone could be anyone, and your management is clearly more interested in setting you up to cover for their mismanagement rather than actually running an airline.

A true conspiracy theorist. But not the case I assure you. Any Spirit pilot just needs to have an application filed with their airline of choice. The rest will happen.
