It really is amazing. I wonder how many yes voters would still vote yes if there was no bonus. If they were honest with themselves, probably very few.

I will go the road shows to ask the real reasons why this was presented for a vote.

True, but it starts from leadership. We all know our NC can’t keep their cool either when challenged.

If the NC didn't think this would pass, it wouldn't be going out for a vote. When the spouses of many captains find out they're going to get $50k-$74k bonuses and will be making $200k+ a year, expect a lot of yes votes despite the rhetoric. That's a nicer house, a funded retirement, a child's education paid for, a spouse that can now stay home with the kids, etc. It's serious and for some a life changing amount of money. Maybe saying No will yield more quickly, but if you're wrong, well at least you can puff out your chest...
