This took 3 months to negotiate?!

Pro I guess
It basically puts in language what we already do in practice.

Con
No guarantees on seating. No premium pay for crap seating. No restrictions on red eye or surface DH. Still 50% pay for DH to training. Why the training DH carveout? Wtf

Always remember if you take jumpseat you could be screwing a jumoseater out of his commute. Don’t do this

I mean in all fairness did you really want the MEC to waste precious mediation time negotiating where you sit on the plane during a deadhead?

On our planes yes. If you’re tall and on rsv it’s a massive qol issue. And Bendo stalled is for months on this one section. United get business automatically when the DH is booked (if it’s a pairing from the packet it should be a sure thing). If they get a center seat from working down the hierarchy it’s $150%

Bro, the deadhead language is literally the same among all the other carriers. I just read Delta's deadheading rules on their contract and it is virtually the same as ours. Or were you wanting some industry leading deadhead rules? lol

They don’t have our seats. And like I said united gets 150% for middle seats and is in first most of the time.

Do you DH much? I do almost every trip. Our cabins are torture chambers if you’re over 4’10” should be big front seats guaranteed. It’s not make or break item to hang a vote but it’s certainly another qol straw to throw on the camel’s back. We didn’t give it away but we should’ve captured it with this compensation package.
