Most receive CASS first couple weeks of training, you just don't have time to go anywhere, after all you're in training. NonRev is active day one. ZED fares however, are 6 months. They do not delay CASS until type complete. Just not true. If it once was, it’s not anymore. When I went through almost 2 years ago, everybody was CASSed about 4 weeks in. I went home on the JS the weekend before my check ride.

Somebody in DTW might be on RSV after 9 months, but that is most certainly not the case in every base. Just looked it up, most junior FO in FLL with a line in March was hired 08/01/2017. That’s 7 months from hire date, which is probably about 5 months from release to line.

The guy just pointed out that Spirit doesn't keep you out of CASS until the type ride as you claimed in the earlier post. You're right, it doesn't take 4 weeks, it took 2 weeks for everyone in our class to be in CASS
