Or you could actually have friends there with actual information. They all rent a big house and share the costs. Less than $1000 a month each.
But sure, defend our absurdly low newhire pay. $1000 per month. PER DIEM IS NOT INCOME |

There's no excuse for what they do. But to say it's a wash is embarrassing. Why don't we instead compare our set up to united, FedEx, Alaska, JetBlue, American etc?
Because it wouldn't even come close to a comparison, at all. Now frontiers setup, I will say I prefer ours personally. Until we get PS (money), comparable pay in every year, comparable vacation ASO, PS travel for training doesn't really matter. |
that still doesn't mean you give up on it.
"sir we can only feed 100 of the 1,000 people in line" "f it, throw away all the food until we can feed all 1,000" the logic is not there. |
and by the way, the training pay at delta is not 4k, it's 5k
But who needs that extra thousand, it's just a wash |

But who needs that extra thousand, it's just a wash Now you’re all butt hurt about the “it’s a wash statement” but, exactly as I laid it out, it’s a true statement. It’s not a defense of our contract. It’s not an acceptance of our terrible training pay based on Delta’s terrible training compensation. It doesn’t show support for any of it, and it sure as ****** doesn’t indicate the reason we have our current contract. Those are all talking points you keep throwing into the conversation that no one is bringing up or arguing against when your numbers keep failing. For some reason you decided to get your contract soap box out today. Give it a rest. |

It was $4800ish pre-tax the last time I bothered to look at it. Maybe that’s changed, but after taxes, insurance etc you get...wait for it because you and math aren’t friends....$4000.

Our "wash" of 1750 is, get this, also taxed (only $1000 is taxed because again, only $1000 is income)
But hey, it's a wash guys I know, numbers iz hard. But at the end of the day and until Delta picks up the hotel tab, the difference in take home pay is inconsequential. And that’s the only thing I’ve ever suggested and you’ve failed to debunk. Happy ranting. |

Again. You and math aren’t friends. The taxation on $1000 is next to nothing whereas the DL trainees are in the second tax bracket after the second month.

Can we stop comparing ourselves to other airlines and just agree that the training pay is ass?
I wonder if the training package sent out to new hires should include the spirit MasterCard application. |
Yes training pay sucks but it’s only for 3 months. Not the end of the world. If you don’t like it, don’t come.
