At no point did I say that training pay was equal. In the very post you quoted, the one you didn’t understand, I said that the pay differential is inconsequential until Delta picks up the hotel tab. Or rather, once they quit picking up the tab when indoc is over. People can play games with that to make it better on the Delta side, but the ones I know who go there don’t.

The gross amount on the paycheck doesn’t matter. It’s the net that matters. And those numbers are close for that time period for both companies.

It’s embarrassingly low. It’s pathetic that Spirit doesn’t offer insurance for 3 months, actually one of you play this game right but still bad, and it’s pitiful that first year pay is so low once OE is complete. None of these things have ever been in contention.

Newsflash, our NC didn’t care about new hires or reserves. When their seat is up for election, vote them out

To whom are you referring? Vote your reps out? Or the reps should oust the NC? You must be in 77 and read that email from an aspiring status rep.

Drain the MEC Swamp!

I actually appreciated his energy

Looking at it from another angle, depending on planned growth and deliveries the company has 3.5 more years under the current contract, plus negotiation delays, and all they have to do is propose some type of “phased in” new hire pay increase and suddenly they have the better part of a decade to do a bulk of their hiring on the cheap.

Not saying it shouldn’t be looked at, hiring never stops even when growth plateaus, but that ship may have sailed to really help the biggest groups of future Spiriters. Shame really.

I’m glad the United and Continental JNC didn’t think this way when they were in our position.

No, just common sense

Well, the NC doesn't have a term and we don't get to vote them out as a pilot group. That's up to your reps. We're you talking about us voting out or reps?

TheDudeabide 10-04-2019 12:16 PM

Yes, the elected reps. But I do believe one of those, MEC Chair, was on the NC. So yeah, there’s that. I know some of the reps personally and like what they have to say, it’s time to change out some key positions
