If you want to look like a maitre d’ or like you are going to a funeral wear a black suit, otherwise Navy, dark blue, grey.

Well the entire point of Spirit is they aren't going to bust your nuts over the color of your suit or tie. We hired a guy wearing a yellow suit.
This isn't Delta where every applicant shows up in the exact 2 button navy suit with red tie, simply because the interview consultant told them this is the interview uniform.
Dress like a grown up, and its not an issue. Most interviews usually begin with the interviewers telling people to take their suit jackets off and relax; this isnt a test, its how things are.
If you really want to "look the part," show up in a NorthFace and they will know you are Spirit material!

If you have ever worked under Delta you might develop a hatred for them. Just ask a comair pilot or another regional that was whipsawed and put through bankruptcy, merger, crappy contracts. You could say when I walk through the terminal and a Delta pilot doesn't nod to me, let alone look at me or wave to me, that makes me think they are the most egotistical bunch of pilots and I don't want to work for that. Say gosh it's nice to meet Spirit pilots and when I do we shoot the breeze like it's a barbecue. I met a Delta pilot that asked if I had my app in and I said no I like it here at Spirit, his face turned in disgust like I'm crazy..... tell them those stories.
