The new interface seems nicer but there's no way for previous applicants to log in and update their apps. Previously I'd update my times at least twice a month and reapply every time the pilot job appeared with a new req number. And currently the only job listed is MCO CP.

Just spitballing here, but I’m thinking it’s because they will post the new position in January. Applying for the current position would be on the current site.

So under "Update Your Profile" you can re-add your flight times. But question: other pilot application sites want you to list dual received as SIC even though it's not really, just for the purposes of categorization. Anyone know if Spirit is the same way?

If you don't, in theory they won't know your total time unless they look at your resume, and the computer will calculate it lower.

If your dual received is a significant enough portion of your total time to worry about that, you probably don't have enough time to be competitive.....

It’s not a ton, but when attention to detail is the first job requirement, you try to be accurate.

Do they really want us to break down the amount of night instrument we have?

Night instrument going eastbound and night instrument going westbound. North or south cardinal headings should be rounded up to the closest tenth of a minute, not to exceed the closest line of longitude; of course taking into the proximity to the departure airport point of latitude.

In all seriousness, I would take the ratio to day to night total time and use that same ratio to instrument time for day and night. That’s my opinion, nobody tracks that stuff unless you have kept a highly accurate electronic logbook since day 1. Ridiculous.

I think when I applied they wanted C152 instrument and night seperate from C172. Out of my 7K+ hours (when I applied), I had less than 300 piston total. I think I just put 0 for all non turbine twin sub categories.

Default ICIMS errors on Spirit app web portal

Anyone else encountering an "empty" list in each pop-up menu for Country and State Code in the Previous Employment section of the application?

You cannot proceed because the site generates an error for missing Country and missing State Code for your previous employer.

Example:

If your previous company is/was

ABC Aero Lines,
Anytown, YK 12345
Tahitistan

You can fill out everything but YK can't be selected from the list of 50 states (because nothing is in the list) and Tahitistan cannot be selected either (for the same reason, there is a blank list of countries).

I'd send a nastygram to the Spirit IT department but I don't think my mileage will be great.

Any thoughts?

I'm having that problem as well. May try and restart the application to see if that works.
