Haha. Wings on the shirt. “Sweet that your regional did this, we don’t”.

I kinda wish we had wings on the shirt, however I’ll gladly not wear them in exchange for the QOL upgrade lol.

So if we got a leather jacket at 3 years, we need to wait 6 more years to expense this jacket?

That is the stance the company is taking. However the contract reads 72 months from purchase. Union is informing people to NCC if denied reimbursement for this.

Fun fun

I ordered a leather jacket at 3 years. When I upgraded I ordered the Captain upgrade blazer (included with upgrade package) and returned it due it it’s size. If I am understanding the above correctly I should be able to expense the Karbon II as apart of upgrade?

From what the base coordinator told me. The Karbon is a replacement option for the leather.

So you ordered a leather at 3 years, you get another 6 years from then. Fun, right? This is the position they are taking. 6 years from leather reimbursement. Even though the contract says 6 years from date on receipt.

Clearly the company cares about appearance when the uniform provider (HPI) distributes complete garbage. There is no way to look "professional" in anything HPI produces, its all complete crap.

Spirit has a long history of providing (or not providing) low quality, unwearable uniforms, lengthy periods without an approved vendor, not having pieces in bases to try on, changes and rumors of change, etc. To all of a sudden decide they want us to be uniform is almost laughable. Police yourselves, use sound judgment, and order every last piece of uniform you have coming to you, whether you plan to use it or not. We should start a co-op of donated uniform pieces for first year pilots considering what they are paid.
