When did we get sued? I don’t recall any extra money being deducted from my paycheck or ALPA asking for an assessment.
"Spirit sued its pilots union in federal court for the Southern District of Florida, accusing pilots of “an unlawful job action,” designed to hurt the airline’s operations. Spirit pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, and the airline are at odds over a new collective bargaining agreement. In some cases, the airline said in its complaint, pilots are even turning down a chance to make 200 percent of their pay for last-minute assignments. Usually, the airline said, it has no trouble finding pilots for those flights. Spirit also said union members have “engaged in a campaign to threaten and intimidate other pilots” who accept those and other last-minute assignments." -Skift |
:) You guys are no fun.
I was replying to the remarks about the op's abilities or not to fly w/o an ND. Admit it though, nine days plus for this billion dollar major airline to replace a display? As for that B737 operator, my remark was geared to the 737. Not a big fan of the 737, so.... Yeah I missed that the A/T on the 300/500 was also deactivated prior to the fleetwide upgrade, and that the EFIS display format was unique to them. Anything else? -300 <https://www.airliners.net/photo/Southwest-Airlines/Boeing-737-3H4/721045> -500 <https://www.airliners.net/photo/Southwest-Airlines/Boeing-737-5H4/715661> |

Not sure how much you know about airbus systems- but several things go into making the ND display its info. Second- I flew that airplane a few days ago (assume it’s the same...) and can’t imagine why anyone would think this is a big deal. Personally, I’d be more bothered by the FWD lav being deferred. If you feel challenged by a certain arrival- feel free to have the captain fly that leg.... As far as the VNAV thing- I just wondered if you knew the difference between VNAV and A/T.... |
This was really supposed to be as Ted takes over are we seeing things change with maint etc.... why it always turns into a d$&k measuring thing.

And FWIW- I haven’t seen any “meltdown” type issues this year... not saying they haven’t been there- just not for me.... |

What part of any of that qualifies as “d$&k” measuring??

The money was certainly deducted from your paycheck in the form of reduced bargaining capitol during negotiations.

Well it seems we should get sued more often, apparently it's the only way we can get a contract.

Yes. It’s teds fault. He also gets the glory if he pulls it off. But for now this ship is sliding closer to the rocks. What the hell is the hold up with getting scheduling split up between FA and pilots. Oh yeah.... it’s not a priority.
As long as these clowns (ted responsible) can’t get the phones answered then I’m not going to ever sweet getting out on time. They can’t get me a hotel in IROPS? Going to eat into my 10 hour layover? **** off your pilots by stepping over dollars to save a nickel. Yes. Ted is responsible. |
