or not. I could care less. Honestly, at this point arguing with people online is kind of a mute point. Bunch of pre madonnas. |

Speaking of using phrases correctly, exactly how much less could you care? Meh, doesn’t matter. I couldn’t care less.
oh man you nailed me! you do realize we are using these phrases incorrectly on purpose the last two pages, right? To demonstrate the phrases that we see people use incorrectly? My post was chock full of the ones that drive me crazy, when used incorrectly. read back a few posts. We’re being sarcastic. |

yeah.....apparently you didn’t catch on.
although, seeing as how you’re the first one to jump in and correct grammar, I’m thinking you took the grammar bait. Unless you now claim that you were doing a double secret joke. oh well. Either way, arguing on the internet is a mute point and your not going to suck me in too your web (Moot. You’re. To.) :-) |

Sorry if this has been asked before, I used the search function but couldn't find anything.
How senior is ORD? Is it a base that can be awarded out of training? Or at least a few months out of training? Whats the average for a line in ORD? Thanks all. |

How is commuting? I'll be commuting from the west coast to most likely ORD with LAS as the ultimate goal but don't mind commuting. Is there a decent commuter policy? How about priority, is everything done through MyID when commuting on anyone other than Spirit?

Delta and United you show up to the gate and list for the Jumpseat. MyIDTravel for AA and Southwest. Frontier uses ID90. If your taking a company flight, it’s rare we are 100% full so most of the time you will be in back. When you list for a Spirit jumpseat it is first come first serve among employees. I don’t believe it ranks the JS list in order of seniority. Maybe it’s changed, but I don’t believe so. |

We will be going back to our original commuter policy of 2 flights either next month or in June. Currently we just need 1.

What happens if you miss your 1st (or 2nd later) option? Just miss pay for the parts of the trip you miss?

That’s good information about commuting. I have been commuting 5 yrs on AA being “in their system” and this was probably my number one concern. I don’t mind commuting I just hate the paranoia associated with listing in OALs. I’m out of DFW so options are in abundance It’s the whole listing process that gets weird.

if you’re in the AA system and you have RES access, you know that you can just XI any pilot jumpseaters higher priority than you and somehow you’re #1 for the jumpseat... (j/k) Well that will work the first time anyways. All RES transactions are logged so they’d know whodunit and you couldn’t run fast enough. |

I’ve never used it but I hear the Alpa jumpseat app has all the details on how to list for other airlines.

We just won an arbitration on what happens after commuter drops if you wish to recoup some pay.

Don’t think it’s been published yet but we did get an email. Basically the company was not allowing commuter drop pilots to pick up open time or otherwise meet their trip. That practice will be stopped and solutions will be published is my understanding. I don’t commute so I kind of breezed over it.
