Im betting Puddy is having a stroke right about now.

Is that a NEO air quality issue joke?

If we got the XLR, it’d be interesting to see how Spirit deploys it.

a NEO XLR could do FLL to GIG...

AA does MIA to GIG in a triple 7, showing 8:20 block. At Mach .84.

Have fun on the 14 hour layover, I’d be dropping that one every chance I get.

14 hour layover? Are you on the schedule planning committee?

I think his main idea was it would be cool how Spirit could expand our network further...Not necessarily about how cool our layovers would be.

send them directly to me. If it’s a 2 day worth 17hrs I’m all about it. If it’s a 3day w a red eye for the same credit, Id be avoiding too. of course a red eye couldn’t be done in augmented with block over 8:00

It would almost certainly be a 3 day, because the report times in 117 tables have to line up in order to get at least 9 hours of flight time.

If you take Lima as a template and then chisel away 3-4 hours on either side of the duty off and duty on times in station, that would give you a pretty good idea of what Rio would look like. Hotel location/transport would also affect the amount of actual time “out of uniform”

Would Rio be “cool” to visit, sure. Do I want to operate a narrow body from FLL to get there? Nope.

what does it matter if it’s a narrow body or widebody?

Narrow bodies are significantly slower, and they don’t have crew rest facilities.

Spirit big front seats do not even meet the qualifications for a class 3 rest facility, so we couldn’t do augmented crew even if we wanted to.

Like I said, IF they get XLRs and IF they decide to do those type of routes as 2 pilot long range, fantastic. I don’t have any interest in doing them so one less person fighting against the bots in open time.

I’ll let you get back to spreading banal rumors.

Extra 19 mins in the air on a 8 hour flight...big whoop...you sound like a FA.

And you can go back to telling everyone you are too cool for this “international” flying because it is inferior to what you have done.

based off your extensive experience?

Not superior nor inferior, just fatiguing.

no based off of math...

If we crused at Mach .80 vs the Mach .84 example you gave on the 777 at a flying time of 8 hours roughly.

if my math is wrong, then please tell me your answer.

That’s a good one! I think like 99% of the rest of our flying you’ll be seeing CI 29-32 for that one. Witt doesn’t play around with his fuel savings.

RemoveB4flght 03-03-2020 11:03 AM

Except .84 is a normal cruise speed for the 777 and .80 is a high cost index for the 320 series.

The longest 2 man unaugmented crew flight permissible under 117 is 9 hours. The return flight from GIG to MIA is 8:50 on the 777. That’s all the math you need to know sport.

Anyways I’ve had enough debating a theoretical route on a plane we don’t have or have orders for.

gringo 03-03-2020 12:02 PM

I’d be happy just to get to Belem or Manaus... Azul’s already doing Belem in their 320NEOs...

Give it a minute and removeB4flight will tell you why he won’t.

you have never cruised at .80? Go home leg? Just want to get there? Make it sound like it is rare.

Sport, I wasn’t the one arguing with you if it that route was feasible or not that was the other person.

You just said that .84 vs what we cruise at is such a belly ache for you. And I’m just saying it’s really not much more.

flyjbh 03-03-2020 01:08 PM

Sport.... my grandpa used to call me that. [emoji23] we are getting 330’s or getting bought by Silver or SWA. That’s what I learned today on apc

If that means more Brasileras and caipirinhas for me, then somehow I think I’ll manage.

Somehow.

Does anyone know what the delivery schedule is for 2024 and 2025 for this order?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Just trying to figure out how many new airplanes are coming in vs NEO's that are being removed from the fleet for inspections.
