thank you Depends on which plan you elect to go with. I am on the HDHP for a family with the HSA option (company gives you 2K a year towards the the HSA) and I pay 214 a paycheck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

thank you Company contributes $3000/year to your HRA. Unused funds roll over year to year with no cap. $4500 deductible but really it’s only $1500 (unless you have rollover funds then it’s even less) considering the first $3000 is paid out by the HRA. 10% co-insurance after that up to your $6800/$7500 (individual/family) out of pocket max for the year. All preventative care is covered at 100% and not subject to the deductible. Premiums for a family for this plan are $176 per pay check ($352/month). Vision is through VSP and is $8/check for employee+spouse (I think it’s ~$16/check for the whole fam). Includes yearly exam, lenses, frames and contacts with reasonable allowances and copays. Dental is included with any of our health plans. Can’t remember the details off hand but it’s pretty standard as far as I can tell (free cleanings twice yearly and good discounts/allowances on dental work). I have put the HRA plan to the test over the years (surgeries, pregnancies, etc) and it’s great. |
What he said. After the kids were born we’ve had some healthy years in a row. Rollover funds in HRA and I won’t be paying out of pocket for anything for a while except premiums. It was sad however that it was our own spirit Alpa audit that exposed the company raising our premiums several years in a row when the plan cost had not increased proportionally

Correct me if I am wrong. The HRA you loose when you either retire Or leave spirit. That was my understanding. The HSA stays with you forever and can be given to a beneficiary as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I believe that’s true yes. Not sure if that’s the company contribution though. I think it’s only contributions you make to the HSA. This is not in the contract so I would refer you to the R and I committee and ask them.
Will do thank you! I will report the outcome to y’all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
The HSA only recently became a desirable option imho. Before, the premiums were a lot more than the HRA and it made no financial sense to have a higher deductible plan, with a higher premium, and you have to set aside your own money. Now, the premiums are practically the same and the HSA is a viable option. For the record, if you have an HRA, and thousands in that account, you CANNOT transfer that to a HSA. Please correct me if I’m wrong because I’d love another tax-deferred retirement vehicle.
