BNA

Looks like Spirit is moving their OCC to BNA. Any rumors about a pilot domicile opening up here?

No. End of thread

Wonder why they chose Nashville? I thought our new HQ was supposed to have a new OCC also.

The email said why. Less chance of a hurricane or other inclement weather/natural phenomena interrupting operations in the crystal palace.

I heard Spirit is going to be teaming up with CMT for some advertising. Taylor Swift will write a song about how she meet her boyfriend on Spirit flight then dumped him later. The music video will be filmed on one of our new NEO’s.

Tell all the flight attendants you talk to about the new BNA base, let’s get the rumors started.

I too thought new HQ was supposed to have OCC in the building.

That makes too much sense :)

I could be wrong, but I thought Nashville was subject to widespread power outages resulting from fairly harsh severe weather including storms and snow/ice events. You would think some place out in the desert, like say Phoenix or Vegas would be better protected from weather events.

I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that whatever building they’re going to use will be required to have robust generator backup. Snow and ice can be problematic, but you’re probably not going to find your neighborhood missing following the event as you could with a strong hurricane.

It's being converted into a ballroom to host the Black & Yellow Balls.
