I have the 8+, and it works great, but does get uncomfortable on a long trip if your partner wants to wear the headsets. I bought some Clarity Aloft’s that I love, but one of the ear buds stopped working after 9 months. It has a year warranty so there’s that. I also have some UFQs that I’m going to try out as an alternative to the CA’s for active noise cancelling.

The latter two are by far the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever worn.

The 8+ or CA would be my replacement interests when my 850s give up (7 years old).

I’m pretty fond of the DC pro Xs

i must be rough on my headsets. My original 850s went TU so I bought the 8+. Bought the CAs as an upgrade gift to myself. Loved them. I’ll go back to them if the UFQs seem to be a problem.

I’ll just need to see if the CA ear pieces work for me or not, just have to test drive it and see. But in the end, own headset is a must have

You mean you don’t just love hearing the other pilot breathing into the ships telex and having to turn the INT knob to max just to hear them talk?

The breathing noise is incredible. Haha. Like “dude, do you even realize your nose is blowing in the hot mic?”

Batteries and the battery pack you have to hang off something is why I avoided this headset personally

I put the battery pack of my Bose Proflight in the headset holder. That seem to solve the problem of having it hang down. Also I use rechargeable AA, which last about 3 trips

Does the telex 8 or 8+ fold at all to make it more compact? What is the difference between the two

The 8 is a more of a flat fold, the 8+ ear cups don’t flat fold like the 8 and 850 does.

He is a comparison of the 3
