I was told starting June 1st we can start wearing green masks or if we don’t have green we can wear one with animal prints on it...whatever that means.

Even in south Florida, which they've said wont be "reopening" anytime soon, there are throngs of people out and about. I live on las olas and a lot of the restaurants and bars offer food and drinks to-go, and most seem to just camp out with their food and drinks. Some of the bars even have outdoor areas to congregate and people here are taking full advantage of it. Tonight I went running on the beach, which is technically closed, and I wasnt the only one out there. This isn't going to last much longer.

Orlando opens restaurants and shops (at limited capacity) tomorrow FWIW. Really hoping things bounce back by the fall

Yep! I’m glad people are sick of this and ready to get out. Walking las Olas 2 weeks ago was a ghost town, now yesterday was super busy.

Common sense is key. We can’t stay locked down til a vaccine is injected in most of the population. Since we know the hospitals aren’t being overwhelmed we need to open it all and just do extra hand washing and wear masks in congested spaces like airplanes or sporting events. And high risk categories can stay isolated.

The beach being crowded and the beach being crowded with separate groups of people that already live with each other look the same in a photo but are two entirely different things. I don’t sit six feet or closer to other families at the beach normally let alone now.

Even if there is a vaccine, there’s already a significant part of the population who are going to refuse to take the vaccine.

theyve been promising a vaccine for AIDS, there still isn’t one 40 years later...
