I'm hearing the victim was taken off and the assailants continued on to Detroit? How does that happen. And the cops did not arrest them after a savage beating? Out of their jurisdiction give me a break. This is horrible. Why are people scared to intervene? The guy could have died from multiple blows shown in the video.

Your Captain continued on with these thugs in the back? I’m literally speechless. I’m never one to second guess PIC decision making, but you have got to be fuqing kidding me. And the FO can’t speak up and say ‘uh Cap? No way’. This isn’t the press you need right now...smh

None of us were there so let’s all defer judgement. I’m pretty confident none of our captains would have let the assailant continue on after the diversion. Arrest or not and spirit station or not we still decide who stays or goes as the captain. You can walk the rest of the way as far as I’m concerned.
Also, any time any of us have had law enforcement meet us at the destination the locals have always handled it no matter what states sky we were over.
I think we are missing a lot of facts and relying on poor reporting on this case. Let’s keep that in mind.

Against my better judgement I just watched the video, and I'm sorry, lack of facts or not, I would not let that assailant back on my plane. He punched repeatedly, violently and rapidly. And over what? A verbal argument? (This is where the lack of facts comes in, I suppose.)
I'm by no means a "tough guy" but there's no way I'd let that guy back on if I knew at the time that's what he did. And the fact that there is blood on the seats is good enough for me, "All the facts" or not.
