you guys are idiots. The state had a surplus before this virus. At the states I assume you consider “doing it right” are net negative and sucking off the tit of the government you so despise.
For one freaking second consider people other than yourself. Or not. Continue with your bleach drinking. It’s fine by me

So basically because you don’t like California and they aren’t bankrupt you’re saying you know their accounting numbers don’t add up. Ok...

Continued shutdown = unemployment paycheck for those too lazy to work = votes. It’s politics, as usual, plain and simple.

I don’t disagree on the reluctance for some to go back to work, but votes for whom? I believe that the unemployment boost in the CARES ACT was bipartisan.

Who benefits from an economic recovery in a presidential election? The incumbent or the challenger?
Who would like that recovery delayed so they can stand like the accusing monkey in Family Guy’s closet blaming everything from upset tummies to economic disaster on the other guy?
The CARES act wasn’t meant to recover the nation. It was meant as a lifeline to some semblance of recoverability later. All the political machinations in the world mean nothing if there’s nothing left to govern after winning the election.
Don't be naive. This is absolutely a political football game at this point. The outcome of of the pandemic is no longer in doubt. So now it’s being used to further agendas. Or perhaps you didn’t notice the BS legislation being foisted in the Heroes Act.

Sweet, I love reading political arguments from anonymous posters. It is always so cordial, and they often change each other's minds or find common ground. Bet it builds unity too! I think I'll start talking politics and religion in the cockpit. If I ever get to fly again.
