While we're at it, SMF, SMF, SMF.

One of the fastest growing metro areas in the country, a relatively dead airport, limited competition, and a pilot population that would, in many cases, rather be based there over driving to OAK/SFO.

Also if our memories aren’t too short remember when we open new bases all the other bases stagnate for a couple of years so enjoy that little fun fact and be careful what you wish for if you want to stay put.

When we opened LAS/DFW/ORD it was a stagnation shrinkage nightmare then just when growth started to happen again along came MCO and stagnation again.

Actually, quite the opposite happened for me when MCO opened. I was moving up consistently 3-4 #’s a month the first 6-ish months it opened. Since then, stagnation…..

you’d be a fool to live in commiefornia with the tax hit you’d take as a captain. West coast base would be great but forget the people’s republic of california

I believe you are talking about the Democratic People’s Republic of Kalifornistan

I’m all for opening a new base if it makes the “Senior Daddies” leave.

Seriously, Bobby, I’m not sure you understand how uncompetitive the business and tax climate is for those of us not raised there. Or how desperate Franchise Tax is going to be to get more from you poor souls who live there. You need to commute from Reno.
