My goodness, do not reach out to them. I did and they blow my phone up every single day. Phone calls at first and now they text me. Still looking for healthcare? At first I was answering and having them run me through their system and asked if I had any preexisting health conditions. I said my wife is pregnant and they said sorry we can’t cover you.

Default Dress?

What seemed to be the common things you saw pilots wearing at MTC? Suits all around?

I know the typical response is “dress for the job you want”, but I don’t love how my suit looks and I feel much more confident in a button down shirt with tie. Wondering if this acceptable.

I wouldn't want them to guess what I'll look like on the line. So... Dark suit, white shirt, bold tie without logos or cutesy characters. YMMV, but I would offer this isn't the time to be an individual.

So get a new suit.

A shirt and tie is what you wear to lunch or how you sit at your desk. It’s not what you wear when you meet new people or present something (yourself in this case).

Why to pilots have such are hard time figuring out how to dress for certain occasions?

If you can't pull off a suit I'd suggest a turtleneck and blazer.

The tuxedo t-shirt is always an option, but may be overdressing a bit.
