Spirit Training Questions

A couple questions about training, firstly, I heard face masks are required in ground school regardless of vaccination status? Is this true?

Also, is Spirit AQP now or no?

“Yes, face diaper required.”

lame and absurd

NK Bumble Bee 11-05-2021 02:56 PM

Lame and absurd? No one is forcing you to come to training. You're also aware you have to wear a face mask in the airport too, right?

Haha. Not in class and things are “lame and absurd”

Man, this won’t go well if you’re already complaining

Yup, I agree. He should tell Spirit to pound sand. What's the point of the vax if you still have to wear the mask, unless the vax doesn't work...but we're all told it does.

He’s busy running the new 100 days without needing to change diapers challenge.

I mean he did spend 8 years being the number 2 guy in the White House. Maybe he just got confused and decided to be the number 2 guy in other awesome endeavors.

Barry straight up prank called him and asked “ who does number 2 work for?”

What's the point of crumple zones if cars still have to have seat belts, unless seat belts don't work... but we're all told they do.

I can understand seatbelts, and telescoping steering columns, and even the crumple zones.

The Takata airbags that doubled as Claymore mines I’m a little more iffy about.

Is a seatbelt designed to prevent a car accident?

Lots of infectious disease experts on here...smh.

I fear some of you guys don’t understand how vaccines work. Maybe this little analogous story will help.

When I was young there was this kid in our apartment complex, Daniel. Daniel kept getting beat up by these other kids in our school. Daniel grew tired of this, so he tried to teach himself karate. Daniel knew if he could learn karate he might have a better chance and not get beat up so bad. After a little argument behind the apartment complex that didn’t fare so well for Daniel, the maintenance man, Mr. Miyagi, started giving Daniel karate lessons. Daniel got very good, but he ultimately learned what Mr. Miyagi already knew, there might always be someone who thinks they’re tough and bad that will test your skills, and karate will help you defend yourself, but the main reason to learn karate is so you don’t have to fight.

As an added benefit, that kid, Daniel, he went on to win the All Valley 18 and Under Karate tournament. He got to drive cool old cars, date the prettiest girls in school, and later got to grow up to have a nice family and own car dealerships, all because he learned karate.

Required for training. AQP not for new hires. Old school oral and P.C.

He’s not an expert...so I wasn’t referring to him. Turn off the Fox News and OAN notifications and cool your jets.

MGuy,

Are you one of those guys that walks around with two masks on and reminds other people if you see them not wearing your mask correctly?

you are probably people one of those people that would love to grab someone’s arm and force a vaccine on someone else...

If your vaccine isn’t going to protect you, what makes you think mine will?

Thread will be closed if this turns into a COVID/Mask/Vaccine debate. Let's not derail the thread please.

Agreed. Let's get back to talking about the president's incontinence issues!

The point that flew cleared your head by an AU is that you, Mguy, question people from the president to the postman on a daily basis despite not being an “expert” in their fields or having access to the information they have. As we all do. And all should. Or do you have no opinions beyond aviation?

The appeal to authority is an intellectually lazy retort and tired cudgel for those who feel the need to quash dissent.

The hardest part about the two weeks to flatten the curve are the first 18 months.

What part of the training gets people the most? Not showing up with flows, limitations, mem items memorized?

showing up not wearing a mask will almost for sure make you fail training

bruhaha 11-06-2021 03:11 PM

I don't wear a seat belt, they can't make me wear a seat belt

They can't make me drive the 85mph speed limit anyway - I go as fast as I want... 100+

The government is infringing on my freedom

lame comparison...

Its already proven somebody who is vaccinated can still catch Covid and spread it just like somebody who is not.

vaccine mandate is purely political.

just because somebody doesn’t wear a mask, doesn’t automatically make them have Covid.

mask mandate is purely political also.

next...

Tranquility 11-06-2021 03:45 PM

Who only drives 100+?! Must be driving a Miata…. 🥱🙄:D

BeechedJet 11-06-2021 03:55 PM

Appeal to authority when it comes a subject no one on here has nearly enough education to question on their own. Kinda like training here. Show up, know how Airbus wants it done w/ flows memory items and limitations and continue from there. If you think there’s a better way to do it then it’s a matter of opinion vs fact. Alot easier to go through it when you don’t have the credentials to say or do otherwise. Hint for new hires...that’s how you can be successful in training. It’s not a difficult training program.

Haha. Bunch of girls at a slumber party in here, arguing which Jonas Brother is the cutest, or that Korean group; I clearly don’t keep up with boy bands like Halon does.

So you didn’t have a rebuttal and instead just resort to name calling.

Any idea of the timeline for AQP? Or is it stuck in FAA approval purgatory?
