Schedule flexibility

Hello all.
So one of the main factors that made me decide on NK is the schedule flexibility allowed by the contract. (Being able to drop to 0 if needed and if conditions are met, pick up as needed).
So having said that, would there be a possibility that that could change in a future contract?
Basically asking if there is a chance that the flexibility provisions change and/or are modified?
Just curious.

The only way that would happen is if we willingly let it happen like a doe eyed young starlet on Harvey Weinstein’s office couch.

Our schedule flexibility is the primary reason most people choose to come here and our pilots should be communicating ways to further improve it to their union reps in preparation for section 6. Simply put, any discussion about conceding any part of our current provisions is a complete waste of time.

How does one get paid if we drop some trips? if for example I have 3 4-day trips on my schedule for the month, and I drop 1 trip out of those, how would that be reflected on my paycheck?

You’d probably have 4 four days not three and if you drop one you lose the pay for it.

if not…. You’re not getting paid for them.

We are paid semi monthly. Guarantee is 72 hours.

Last day of the month you are paid 36 hours.

The 15th you are paid 36 hours. Anything you worked over 72 hours LAST month is added. If you dropped below 72 hours it is subtracted. Any per diem, premium pay, or extras from last month will also be in this check.

So to answer your question, if you drop a 4 day this month, and it puts you at say 60 hours credit for this month (12 below 72), then next month your 15th paycheck will be 24 hours plus per diem and extras (36-12=24).

Not sure if I understand the question. How do you think you should be paid?

Let’s just put it this way...you would have a big ‘ol surprise waiting for you when you see your paycheck!

Of course it could change in a future contract and be worse, just as “we” voted to get rid of being able to drop reserve days.
