Hey Spirit friends. F9er guy here. What’s going on today ? Flight aware said 35% of spirit flights cancelled today ? We’re having some major issues also with holding for CS etc.

Welcome to the show. We aren’t done yet, tomorrow is shaping up nicely too.

Management is blaming weather and Florida.

hahaha, weather ( almost none in the country) and Florida, where half of our pilots will be based come June. It’s embarrassing but we aren’t the only ones falling on our faces today.

To be fair, the WX Saturday 100% legitimately effected every single airline south of MCO heading North. That was a massive system. I was in RSW and we never left. Unless you waited 5-6+ hours most flights, from all airlines ended up CX.

I rolled back in today. Numerous Delta, United, JB and others parked all over taxiways and any spare ramp space was for parked planes.

Our biggest issue is we can’t ever recover the operation in a normal and timely fashion. CS never has any idea where our crews are. If they did, you could get planes repod and into position for the following day. We don’t do that.

I talked to a JB guy today. He says they are the exact same way. Both of us were 30%+ CX today.

Yep you’re right, but I’d bet JB recovers much faster than us.

24% of Monday's flights canceled in the first 2 hours of the day today, 37% total for yesterday. That's one way to save fuel I guess.

I bet they don’t. They’re apparently as inept as us in these matters.

Since I no longer have any cares given about this place, I must say watching it burn because of bad management is just getting amusing. The emails from Ted and J Miller blaming crew staffing is also comical. Id say everyone just chill out sit back and relax on this journey.

who also wants to bet that 0 accountability will ensue?

There won't be any again. They are still counting all that bonus money from the merger while simultaneously forcing hundreds of pilots and their families to uproot their lives and move across the country in the name of "resiliency". Ain't corporate America grand?
