From what I have read on here due to the scheduling, commuting can be painful. I am just looking at options since I would probably have to commute from either Sacramento/Oakland.
Training pay is a whopping $1700 a month until you complete IOE. Vegas has the most commutable trips, but you’ll be flying a ton of redeyes.

perhaps not. Like I said. This is my singular experience but I am between 60-70% if that helps. I’ve held a line for less than a year. So far, it’s worked well but it may all be luck. Watch me get 12 days off next month and have to eat my words.

I did it for years. Here's a piece of advice that will make the commute extremely easy.

Delete United from your commuter flights list.

If you use American, SWA, spirit and frontier, the commute is EASY.

Very rarely did I share a JS or get kicked off one. LAS was a constant occurrence.

And pretty much every DEN-ORD flight on united will have a united guy either already listed or they'll show 20-30 prior and bump you, that's why I say just remove them from your tries it'll make life easier
well, definitely agree about the UAL part. When I commuted to ORD (probably for about a year total), no SWA. Always had to walk for miles it seemed. Didn’t help that I could not hold commutable trips. Just found LAS easier, but good that it worked for you.

If you get 12 off as a lineholder, that is a violation of the CBA…. Please, know your current contract before potentially voting on a new one.
