Default JB and the LAS base

In a pilot conference call yesterday the company would of course not commit to retaining any spirit bases but did say the current projection for Post merger LAS was 80 flights a day.

I’m curious if you know how many departures NK currently has there?

They said the combination would put us at 80 flights a day, more than our MCO base, so a base there would make sense. Their words.

I think that it might end up being cheaper all around to fly California trips out of a LAS base. California’s laws are getting a little funky and their state income tax will cost most CAs a marginal state income tax rate of 9.3% or better. That’s starting to become a serious premium to be living in a state that seems to be going downhill.
