If you’re solo you can Jumpseat on anyone. With the family my tip is to buy tickets

Yup. Ive non-reved 0 times in my time here. Our tickets are super cheap, buy the family seats, and list for the jump or buy you a seat as well, bags are free when buying confirmed tickets online.

The main issue is lack of frequency to locations. You try and non rev with the family and if you cant get everyone on, it might be a day before the next flight, maybe longer until the next open seat. Soon 99.9% of our planes will have 1 jumpseat. So even trying to get that single jump might be an issue if someone is faster on the 72 hour draw when listing.

My advice: buy seats, gets bags for free, travel in regular clothes, put your badge away (just buy your water), and enjoy your industry leading cramped seating.

When you say "our tickets" do you mean we get a discount when buying confirmed tickets ? and if so, is that discount only with NK ?

No discount on our tickets but you get free bag. The purchased seats are on our planes. You can list Zed on another airline from our agreement list for a fee but it is standby.

I've had friends use buddy passes with great success. Spirit is notorious for having no shows. It's incredibly rare that we leave with every seat taken, unlike the legacies. Last week I worked a FLL-ATL that had 45 no shows. In February I got 2 friends on a flight from Florida to NY that was -5/182 and delayed an hour.

Some other good news: according to my friend at jetBlue, they plan to put second jumpseats and brake fans on all of our planes as part of the conversion.

is there any app or website where you can see the open seats per flight in NK ? i usually use the NK APP and see the seat map.

So basically the only benefit is the free bag unless you jump seat or paxs dont show up.

Our flight benefits overall suck. Zed fares used to be more plentiful, lost UAL about 8 years ago.

You’ll get the website info etc in indoc. First got to pass checkride, so yeah, there is that.

But as far as the benefits or pass travel, it’s one thing that I hope improves under JBLU because it’s basically a worthless benefit to most of us. Buy a ticket, it’s easier.

you (and only you) can jumpseat on any US or Canadian part 121 (or equivalent) carrier, including DL/UA/AA and FedEx/UPS/Atlas/Kalitta. If the flight is not full, or the flight is international, you will be given a seat in the cabin free of charge. If the flight is full and domestic, you will be awarded the cockpit jumpseat as long as nobody of higher priority shows up 15 minutes prior to departure. If the flight is full internationally, you ain’t going anywhere. Only airlines you can JS in the cockpit internationally are Spirit and the ACMI carriers.

you will be able to access spirit flight loads once you are hired at the company, but they’re not very useful. They change all the time and we get wildly varying amounts of no shows.
