that's a small part of it. but most pax are tired of the terrible ULCC. Spirit, Frontier and Allegiant are in for a rude and well deserved awakening. horrendous companies. it was bound to happen eventually. Hopefully they wil be all gone and this profession is back to being respectable. ULCC hurt the profession.
Also most of the rebound was international... I second the opinion of stop smelling your own farts and believing theyre potpourri. |

Son, the issue with ULCCs has nothing to do with Covid. Spirit and Frontier could end tomorrow and the economy wouldn’t skip a beat. Sorry to whiz in your cheerios.
but feel free to keep on dreaming for a bailout. Telling everyone to stay home for 2 years to stomp the curve, and then throwing godknows how much money at the airlines to avoid furloughs, is certainly meddling. and who is whizing in anyone’s cheerios? It’s just a statement of what’s happened. Chill out. bro it wasn’t an attack on you or spirit. |

Under which program?
When Atnt merged with someone forget who, Eric Holder threatened to sue to block it until Atnt agreed to phone plans for poor people out of their own pocket with no government funding. He then dropped the suit. If the DOJ wants something JetBlue and Spirit will have a closed door meeting and DOJ will drop suit. The DOJ can always maintain their current position, but they will likely see the potential outcome more clearly if they do. JetBlue is obligated to appeal, and the DOJ can drop the suit and “force” Spirt on them if they think the winds have shifted. Part of me thinks the hedge funds that have the largest position in Spirt are intentionally getting their wall street friends to hype the BK, so they can convince the DOJ of the urgency in appeal. There is definitely an element of theatrics at play. This is all heavy Wall Street moving, the Spirt price is $7.50 and the purchase price is $32.50 if and a slam dunk if DOJ drops the suit everyone is getting there people lined up for a payday. They are in control of a 15 minute 400% ROI. The DOJ is figuring out how to buy 100,000 shares of Spirit without getting caught. |

Vanguard and Blackrock combined own 18% of NK and 30% of JB. Someone at one of these firms didn’t pay the right people.

Keep in mind though, this is the same poster who like two weeks ago said that "GYE is probably safer than most of America" (spoiler alert: it's not)

Former NK here. I’m really sorry to hear about the news there. I thought, for sure, the merger was a done deal. I really feel for you guys having to worry about what the next move will be. Blue skies to all of you and I wish nothing but the best. The NK pilot group is phenomenal.
