no because going into this hypothetical Southwest merger. Spirit is no longer a ULCC. So a ULCC is not going away due to a merger

"Welcome To The Future Of Spirit".....
I've been unbundled. Please rebundle me. You can't unbundle and rebundle debt, though. |

well I have to admit it I was wrong. We are even more of a ULCC. Maybe we could call ourselves a MLCC…M for Mega! we just doubled down on our business model! Not moving away from it. 🤦♂️ |

Not going to change your nonrev or js. It’s either being sold as a person or being bundled and sold to the aisle and window pax. Either way it would be occupied

Oh my mistake. 4 options. |
Pay for an empty middle seat. Reserve slob gets put in it. Complain to the nearest FA. Get removed by LEO for not following crew-member instructions and sucking it up quietly. This is a cash cow. We're out of the woods. Phew! Which tier did Ted say gets unlimited drinks?

They damn well better make sure the planes are actually catered properly to meet these new tiers. "Oh congratulations, you bought the 'Go Big' bundle! We do apologize, the Wi-Fi is inoperative on this airplane and all we have is bottled water, and we can offer a maximum of 2 ice cubes."...

Yesterday I went to the FLL crew room and spoke to an inflight supervisor. I told her my concerns with the blocked middle seats for commuting/nonrev. She gave me a look of "omg you're right and we didn't think of that". Like literally, they didn't think that part through. I warned her that the company could see a spike in UTC (unable to commute) calls if this happens. She thinks the middle seat block option will only be offered on select flights that are known for not being full.
She further said that the blocked seats would have a physical barrier that would act as a tray table for the aisle and window pax. Ok. Installed and removed by FAs or maintenance? By maintenance. So to do this they'll basically need a dedicated sub-fleet of planes with the blocker trays installed? Yea, basically. So if there's a tailswap, maintenance will need to take time from their day and come remove or install blockers? Ummmmmm...... She was receptive and wrote down my questions and said she would bring them up at their meeting the next day (today). Everything else they want to offer is fine, but I don't trust our D-list management to actually make it work. It also does nothing to address things like INOP wifi, catering carts half empty, and our generally half-assed operational quality. |

We have commuting clause, if a blocked middle seat prevents a pilot from commuting, well that’s how it goes, Use the commuter clause and move on. inflight manager should be more concerned with how her “girls” are going to actually do an inflight service, while smiling. Most can’t even remember to have the pax close the window shades. |

I have seen the middle seat pillow thing on quite a few different European carriers. It is usually a pillow/beanbag type thing that they just plop down and it has a firm top. Kind of like those lap desks that they sell at WalMart during the "back to school" season for college kids. They sometimes buckle in with a seatbelt, but often they just sit there.

Have to laugh at the SPA chairman's message today. Throwing around the word "proud" a lo. Definitely not proud of being bottom of the pay chain again.
all seriousness, don't plan on the company mentioning anything about debt while they enjoy the honeymoon celebration. time to go block some middle seats |

But I heard from a flight attendant that the manufacturer has to install them. So if they install one, and then a commuting crew member has to use that seat, the plane has to go back to the manufacturer to have it removed. Then, if there is a tail swap for maintenance, you guessed it…back to Airbus it goes. It also throws off the W&B so that has to be remeasured each time these are installed and removed. It’s a total FIASCO!!!! How could we possibly make this work?!

The stupid “Go” fare a carry on bag is not allowed. So if someone tries to bored the plane and they have a carry on bag they don’t even have the option to buy the bag, they are flat out denied boarding?
going to still **** customers off. |

Gotta love the arrogance of a pilot who thinks a middle seat that 2 people paid extra for belongs to them because they commute.
Instead of talking to an inflight supervisor, go to the next office down and talk to a chief pilot and tell them to stop taking Jumpseat’s out of brand new airplanes. |

Might want to have someone spell check your application for your next job. I hate to break it to you but APC is full of slang, grammar errors and misspellings. This isnt a college essay I’m writing… I am an anonymous troll on an online forum (and who may or may not actually even be a pilot ) If you have a problem, call the grammar police. |

Well good thing this guy is at United or this would have been the stupidest **** I've read on here. That's like complaining first class only has 2 seats we need a 3rd for my commute. Wasn't funny at all just stupid comment all around should probably worry about that 73 upgrade time and less about spirit seats. It's quite funny that pilots move to other airlines but feel the need to troll there past airline. I to wish I had a life. |

It’s a sold seat it’s not available for commuting. Just bc it’s got an inanimate blocker in it it’s still revenue same as if a passenger was sitting there. What is hard for people to understand. It changes nothing about the commute. And who the hell uses a FA supervisor as any kind of authority for anything. They about as informed as a CVS cashier. |

It’s an interesting view. Almost as if from someone that never experienced what commuting is at any other airline that fills its aircraft. NK is unique in that there’s always at least 10 people that don’t show up, the company rarely oversells and non revs are few.

Based upon Frontiers latest earnings report it doesnt seem that our latest moves are going to amount to much.

We're a LCHV airline! (Low cost high value, or whatever blather Teddy was spewing...) |
Just some cocktail napkin math, we'll be offering 8 'Go Bigs' 12 'Go Comfy' seats (6 middle seates blocked equals 3 rows so 6 window seats and 6 aisle seats), and the rest is regular. Our current 320's will be 176, and the 321s will be 222/229.
