Spirit 2166
Divert into PNS a couple of days ago, any follow up on what was wrong with this jet? I’m a curious new airbus operator.
|
Someone said LGCIU. Unverified info.
|
The news said autopilot disconnect an unable to maintain altitude

This seems like a phishing expedition. OP only asks about incidents in past posts. If anything happened I’m sure the NTSB will have an answer for you at some point. If they don’t then nothing of substance happened and is no need of clickbait. Flights divert for all kinds of things all the time.

Not sure what you’re accusing me of. I’ve diverted. If you have any questions about my diverts, I’m an open book.

Open door indication. FA's prepped for a ditching. All life vest recovered on a Dark Website with an ISP in MBJ. Thankfully, the new Chief Pilot of something or other whose name I can't say without giggling resolved the issues.

I’d also care to know more about the incident. From airline pilots. On an airline pilot forum. At some point you gotta stop with the sus card. Guy asked a very legit question. It’s unusual for some of the factual details about this event. That plus the stupid media reports have people asking. They want to feel better about their booked flight on Spirit. After 20 years of flying these things, I haven’t the slightest clue as to what to tell them. Thanks to the OP for getting the discussion started. |
News says divert and emergency landing due to autopilot issues. Must be much more to the story and anyone operating airbuses (airbusii?) could benefit from knowing the back story. Why is everyone so defensive about anything ever asked?? An airline pilot forum talking about airline pilot stuff…

Could be something as simple as no autopilot and resulting non-RVSM compliance altitude equaling not enough fuel? Just a thought.
