The "other airlines" buy insurance to cover stuff like this. Spirit did not. Don't blame P&W. Spirit management rolled the dice and lost big time.

They probably found out what the plan for Spirit is and its not likely flying planes or getting acquired and need to get their 100 hours of currency (or whatever it is now). This is not normal behavior for senior union leadership to go back to flying.

I’m just so terrified I don’t know what to do!! Ever since I read that email I’m so angry I could punch a wall. These 105 Captains from Vegas are gonna push SO MANY junior pilots out of DFW and IAH into Florida and maybe even the Northeast. I never should have ever left the Corporate Job I had. The only reason I did was my ex wife ended up sleeping with one of the owners while I was in long term training on the Hawker. FML. I think for me, I’m gonna nuke my 401k, pay off my house, downgrade back to FO, and pull all my kids out of their club sports, and then just keep applying everywhere and anywhere. F&ck!!!!!!!
