BTW this is the longest flame thread I’ve ever read. This OP went fishing and found an entire pack of jacks ready to feast on anything he throws in the water.

They asked and Spirit said hard pass. Nothing anyone can do about that. They needed to cut staff. They weren’t interested in finding full benefits for a bunch of pilots working part time. And frankly it was the right move. This wasn’t 2008. Many of those pilots are in better positions now anyway.
Why is P&W not paying for the pilots that can’t work? Why didn’t spirit put pressure on them? right because we can’t hose the former shareholders if we are successful. why is new spirit not making P&w pay for the pilots for the planes we can’t use? They can’t hose the current shareholders if we were busy and actually acting like an airline. Iike the joker says, it’s all going according to the plan…. |

Those lawsuits take years . Spirit has neither time or money |

C and A were fantastic reps. Got me out of an NOI a year before I left for Delta. I read their emails and the things they said in the WhatsApp chats. They weren’t wrong and they ultimately were the reason I finally decided to pull the trigger. So glad I bailed when I did. If I ever run into those dudes or any of the other reps that set the example by leaving, beers on me at the hotel bar.

Spirit chose not to. You can't pass on optional maintenance packages because you want to save costs and then when the product has problems, blame the manufacturer. P&W gave them a gift by offering them credits toward repairs and inspections in lieu of litigation but those credits cover only a fraction of the costs. |
