F*ck em..…….You said you had a kid in college right? Do whatever you need to make ends meet. Think ALPA or Spirit is gonna pay for your kids tuition once this place folds up?

You are significantly better off riding it out at NK, left or right seat than you are going to a regional or a fractional and starting over. Not to mention if you are so worried about listing X & Y and hurting your fellow NK pilots, taking a job at a regional or fractional is just about the same, one less job for a furloughed pilot, making it that much more competitive for them.

Also, If i'm not mistaken Alaska/Hawaiian is opening up their window next week, there's still some opportunities out there. I think you'll get a shot at a legacy interview, even with a DUI. May take some extra work on your part.

Because the DEC money will pay my bills. FO NK Salary won’t. Especially knowing that none of us should be picking up extra flying or flying premium with so many of our brothers and sisters furloughed and out on the streets.

A portion of pilots are still crediting 100 hours and taking premium trips. If we could save furloughs with less flying, maybe our MEC would negotiate for it. Even reduced lines for everyone would decrease the number of furloughs and displacements

Respect that but this is different, this isnt 2001 and guys are furloughed, but will be recalled. These are the first to be sacrificed, before more are. Get what you can now because you not picking up time isnt going to get them recalled, that ship has sailed.

I would be maximizing sick time, vacation float, anything, get your money off the table while you can.
Management just arranged more raises for themselves last week. Why anyone and everyone isnt trying to get every last drop while they can, I dont understand.

Yeah, I am saying that at straight pay on a regular line, you will make more money than at Skywest. I don't know what kind of premium system they have at Skywest, but I would guess that you won't be getting much when you are working 18 days of reserve for the foreseeable future.

I used that 6 months to get my log books caught up and get apps out. I could see the way Spirit was trending. The F9 merger only solidified my decision to go. Like Alabama and Missippi applying for joint state hood so they can better compete against the economies of Texas, California, Florida and New York.

sorry, but anyone who pretends that they took a furlough in order to save someone else’s job is completely FOS. You did save a job, but you took it because you either wanted the time off or already had another job and wanted the furlough pay. It’s like turning the lights off in your house and saying that you prevented global warming.

No No No...hell to the No. Dont give a penny. Again, they just gave themselves raises. You guys going to take guarantee and concessions in the form of pay to save furloughs, while they give themselves raises.

Nothing this pilot group can give will save the company to either success or failure. Do not give them an inch thinking youre saving fellow pilots. You guys are clearly in
"Full Pay to the Last Day" territory now

Ah yes. The “Never AMR” crowd! Or Fight Club as they like to call it.

…..Even though it’s AAG now.
…..And all the former AMR Managers are gone
……And they are hiring 1500-2000 a year
……And retiring over 1000 a year
……And made $600 Million this quarter
…….And accepting new aircraft every month
……And have Narrow Body FOs making $500k
…..And have Narrow Body CAs making $900K
….And WideBody FOs working 10 trips a year
…And WideBody CAs making $1.2 Million
….And have guys getting 4 consecutive paid months off in a row with iMax
….And have the biggest hub right in there own backyard
….And the worlds largest training center right in their own backyard.

All because there egos won’t let them say…..yup, I should have just flowed. I’d be a 777 DFW RSV FO right now making $400K working 6 days a month, but instead I’ll soon be commuting to FLL, gone 20 days a month, to sit 18 days of Short Call Reserve for $275K.

Yeah… using the exceptions as the rule is disingenuous. Everyone has talked to a SWA CA who said “ I made $950k last year and had 28 days off per month. Pilots like to embellish and it seems you’re doing the same thing.
